Do I need internet access?
Yes, as this is an internet based service, you do need internet access. You will have your own web page that will display your information and prices.
Our registered parents can book hours/days with you online and you will be alerted to a booking via an email and SMS text message.
Do I need to be a registered childminder?
Yes. Our requirements depend on which country you're childminding in. To work with Emergency Childcare you have to be:
Childminders in England
Ofsted registered and insured by PACEY or Morton Michel.
Childminders in Wales

What are the benefits to me?
Registration is free and registering with Emergency Childcare is a simple way to increase revenue by occupying otherwise vacant places.
You remain in control of your prices at all times, meaning that you have the freedom to use the system as much or as little as you like.
It is also an excellent way to introduce local parents to you with a strong possibility that full time parents could be recruited.
How does it work?
There are a few simple steps:
-
You can register for free online, just click on 'Childcare Providers' from the top navigation bar, and then 'Childminders'
-
Fill in your details taking extra care to ensure they are accurate
-
Once your insurance and Ofsted registered status have been verified you will receive a confirmation email (depending on the country in which you're childminding)
-
Your profile page is taken live and you're ready to take bookings.
How will I know when I receive a booking?
You will be alerted to a booking via an email and a SMS text message. The email will contain full details about the child(ren) and when you receive your first booking we will call you to talk you through the process and answer any questions that you may have.
Will I receive information about the child(ren)?
Yes, parents complete a thorough registration form about their child(ren), which will be sent to you when you receive a booking. We encourage meeting or speaking to the parents before the actual booking day, to ensure that the child will settle in.
How can I log in to my profile and make changes?
Once you have registered you are able to go back into your profile to make amendments. To do this you will need to log in to our admin website (only after first being contacted by a member of our team, who will provide you with the details).
Please be aware that you will not be able to log on to your profile by going via the main website.
How do I get paid?
Payment is made within the first 10 working days of the month following care.
You are in control of what you get paid (within reason of course!) and we add our commission on top of that.
Our commission is 20% of the total cost (which equates to 25% of the childminder's own price).
How much notice will I get?
Parents can book with 1 hours' notice or up to 3 months in advance. We will call you first to confirm if on the same day.
